What's a Spiritual Tour With Laura Giles Like?

Sacred Travel for the Soul

Lots of people who haven't traveled with Laura Giles, or been on a spiritual journey before, want to know what it's like to do sacred travel. What's it like to travel with Laura.

Who's Laura? What does she bring to the table?

Laura Giles is a licensed clinical social worker who focuses on the treatment of trauma. She was also born into an animist family, a spiritual framework that underpins everything she does.

On some tours or retreats, there is a program that focuses on an intention. Healing modalities or rituals are planned. Usually, if they arise, they happen because that's what the group wants or needs. Like nature herself, groups are usually free flowing and natural so always go at the pace of the group's nervous system.

Laura Giles has the life experience and professional training to make sure that everyone is well supported throughout the process.

Who Comes?

About ten years into hosting spiritual travel adventures, Laura decided that whoever is meant to be in a group shows up. What that means is that the group could contain people of any age, gender, ethnicity, spiritual background, socioeconomic level, emotional intelligence level, physical fitness, etc.

Life offers us what we need. When we don't like it, that friction is nudging us towards growth. When it flows easily and abundantly, that ease is showing us what love looks like. We're all teachers for each other, so all are welcome here.

What's the Vibe Like?

Laura's first group was dubbed "The Jolly Group" by the cruise ship captain because we were always warm and laughing. That energy hasn't stopped. Sometimes it takes a day or two to ease into it- especially if the destination is far away, but the community is always the best part of the trip.

Many travelers return again. Some become friends. When you share something so magical as a trip like this, that part comes easily.

Most find that the slow mornings, meals together, and deep talks are exactly what they are yearning for. And when you go through something so intimate, the people who were there with you share a bond that no one else can understand.

What Are the Sites Like?

There are no guarantees, but most trips include at least one or two juicy sites that open you up, take you to another world, or briefly brush against you to show you something you hadn't experienced before. They might offer a portal to another realm or a doorway to healing something long buried.

Each is unique in its own way. You can't predict what might happen. That's part of the journey. If you're open to being surprised, you won't be disappointed.

What Are the Accommodations Like?

Laura's preferred tour is small, so that we keep things intimate. We either go for a boutique hotel, B&B, or a private house so we're close, can gather in the evenings, and eat together in the mornings. There is space to spread out, but also space to be close.

If you aren't up for the days events, or feeling a little under the weather, you can always hang back, read, go shopping, or do your own thing.

When the group is larger, it's modern, clean, private, and more suited to a larger group.

What Are the Days Like?

Active and outdoors. Almost everywhere includes lots of time in the weather engaging with nature. Nature is the ultimate church. Be prepared to walk in all terrain.

Days are also unplugged. There is no rule about this, but people only engage with their phones when taking a picture, before the day starts, and after the day ends. We're present and together.

What Do You Take Home With You?

The most amazing memories. The trips are sensory. You feel so many things. It takes a while to process them and incorporate them into your life. If you let it, the experience can transform the way you think, live, and connect.

If this sounds appealing, check out the calendar and come with!
